Forces Of A Street - Wait and See EP

Forces Of A Street are a band out of South Carolina. They have released their debut album 'Solitary Engines' back at the end of 2009, and also have the EP 'Wait And See' (2010) on their resume. For me I liked what I heard on the newest EP - I thought the first 2 songs were good. I really enjoyed the opener 'This Island Town' and if the band can use that electro flair in any of their new music I think they have a chance to get their name out there. 'Wait and See' is another decent tune that shows a much more mature sound to what they have previously released on their debut album. There is potential here for this band, if they can continue to evolve their sound into a more polished natural sound. I really think This Island Town and Wait and See are worthy of a download now, and lucky for us they are offering the EP as a Free Download as they have loaded it onto Soundcloud for free it is also available right on their website as well.

Here is a snippet on how they describe themselves over at their website...

..."Swirling guitars, electronic loops, crashing rhythms, and harmonized vocals collide to generate an audible future. In addition to the sonic influences of auditory greats like Radiohead, Minus the Bear, Built to Spill, Manchester Orchestra, and Grizzly bear, Forces of a Street draws from Futurist art, philosophy of science, and the deafening disquiet of modern society. Sound waves and timelines, together, break on the shoreline in your mind, and open you to the story of an uncertain tomorrow."

Forces of a Street is currently promoting a compilation album known as Future YALL - which is a collection of 16 of the most forward-thinking and modern to post-modern sounding bands in their region (the Southeast). The album is set for physical release on June 7- although digital downloads are available now. Forces Of A Street are also currently finishing up recording their second album which is set for a September release.

Here is the video for 'All The Time' off of their full debut album Solitary Engines
