Radiohead: From the Basement- THE KING OF LIMBS
Well, it has officially begun. Radiohead greeted us this morning with a clip from their upcoming From the Basement show- featuring a new song, "Staircase". Those with good memories may remember Thom performing this one solo during the 2010 Atoms For Peace live circuit under the title "A Walk Down the Staircase". Featuring Clive Deamer from British jazz group Get the Outfit, in addition to Phil Selway, on drums and the heavily atmospheric use of a Moog synth, "Staircase" is a tantalizing glimpse into how the guys are going to bring forth The King of Limbs into a live format. Since Limbs is such an insane percussive album, will two drummers now be the norm? Needless to say, we should find out soon.
