NME.com recently posted information about Jane’s Addiction that has me very excited. They have finally announced some new details about the album.
So according to NME.com the album is set to be released on September 26, 2011. The title of the record is “The Great Escape Artist” and Farrell describes the vibe of the album as “a strange mixture of that post-punk goth darkness that Jane's had, with what's going on today with groups like Muse and Radiohead.”
Playing on the album besides Farrell and Navarro is drummer Chris Chaney and TV On the Radio’s Dave Sitek on bass.
The first single was available as a free download earlier in the month and I have to say that I love what I hear. This is Jane’s Addiction with their completely original sound yet still completely applicable to the music world of today. The song, ‘End to the Lies’ showcases the best of what Jane’s Addiction used to be and what they have become for the future.
Here’s the video for the ‘End to the Lies’ which really showcases the band’s personality.
