Phantogram - Live Review (Twilight Concert Series 2011)

In today's indie scene there are plenty of duos going around, but Phantogram definitely lived up to the hype. Josh Carter (vocals/guitar) came out smoking a cigarette, keeping it pretty cool for most of the set, only speaking a few words. Sarah Barthel (vocals/keys) rarely let you see her face from her sensual dance moves and hair in her face. The band pulled a lot of energy out of their music, as most of the crowd danced along and cheered to the likes of "Mouthful of Diamonds" and "When I'm Small". I have to admit "You Are the Ocean" is one of my personal favorites, which they played. All in all they were good live, and I 'd recommend seeing them sooner rather than later.
