Craig Finn - Clear Hearts Full Eyes ALBUM PREVIEW

Craig Finn of The Hold Steady has his solo album 'Clear Heart Full Eyes' set to release on January 24th via Vagrant Records. The record is actually in reference to TV show Friday Night Lights, as coach Taylor used the expression "Clear Hearts Full Eyes" to motivate his football players. Finn elebrates further on the title..

“Clear Heart” signifies honesty and transparency, and “Full Eyes” suggests experience. Thus, it’s about being optimistic and open without succumbing to the weariness or doubt that comes with age and experience. To me, that is what it’s all about.

The album has a truly inspired Texas, country rock vibe going on and it showcases a fine song craftsman in Craig Finn. You can pre-order the album here as an added bonus the first 500 orders come with a Bandana, and a free download of 'Honolulu Blues'.

Check out a few early listens of the album below, as tracks 'New Friend Jesus', 'Honolulu Blues', and 'Jackson' are all streaming. Also I posted a good video of Finn talking about the record which is worth a look.
