The Raveonettes - She Owns The Streets

The Danish duo The Raveonettes have unveiled new single 'She Owns The Streets' which will be the second single on the bands upcoming sixth studio album, Observator. The song was inspired by a person that singer Rune Rose Wagner's came across, stating...
"She Owns The Streets," for example, is about a New York City street dancer. I've noticed her before dancing wildly on Bowery, running crazily in the street among the cabs and horrified passer-bys. A friend of mine introduced me to her and we struck up a friendship. After meeting her, I wrote a song in 20 minutes about the pleasures and pitfalls of being perceived as either a drug-crazed girl or an insane individual. She truly dares to defy the laws of civility and conformity."

Observator will be released on September 11th via Vice Records.
